With impeccable timing, my newest granddaughter, Eva, arrived on August 5 at 11.12pm!
We are all so thrilled to welcome her into our family!
She is a wonderful blessing to us all!
Basic Holiday Kit
I will be away from the 15 – 21 August so it is time to check that my Basic Holiday Care Kit has everything in it I need and is ready to pack.
This is my checklist!
What will you take along with you?
My Travel Kit
Although this might change when I finally pack it up. I have to make some careful choices as I only travel with carry on luggage and where I am going is apparently ‘fragrance free’.
A 10ml roll-on of lavender 4 drops, peppermint 1 drop and marjoram 4 drops diluted in jojoba oil. This works wonders for a number of different conditions from headaches to nausea to all sorts of boo-boos.
A couple of different inhalers to sniff. Immune Boost Inhaler – 3 drops Eucalyptus smithii, 3 drops Frankincense, 3 drops lemon, 3 drops Rosalina and 4 drops Ravintsara; a morning Pick Me Up Inhaler – 6 drops Grapefruit and 3 drops Bergamot; and a relaxing evening blend – 3 drops Neroli, 2 drops Lavender. To sniff as needed.
My Mouth Wash Blend – 8 drops tea tree, 1 drop myrrh, 1 drop clove and 1 drop cardamom diluted in 30ml alcohol. Add a couple of drops to a shot glass of water and swish.
A small bottle of Rose Geranium hydrosol, which I use as my face toner.
A small spritzer bottle of insect repellent and a small bottle of Melissa hydrosol, just in case some pesky insects get by the insect repellent and I have to deal with itchy bites.
I also always take along a small bottle of undiluted peppermint, lavender and helichrysum essential oils.
