Fall is certainly here, the leaves are changing colours and the weather is unpredictable.  Time for me to create a new Fall Synergy!

In their book Daily Aromatherapy, Transforming the Seasons of Your Life with Essential Oils, Joni Keim and Ruah Bull say that:

Autumn (Fall) is the season of the soul that signals a time to reflect on your life and assess the health and well-being of your body, mind, heart and spirit. It is a time for insights and using good judgment regarding your relationships, how you take care of yourself, how you spend your time, and what you have accomplished.
Essential oils they list for Autumn include: Spruce; Fir; Bay Laurel; Clary Sage; Palmarosa; Roman Chamomile; Marjoram ; Lavender; Jasmine; Cardamom; Cypress and Rose .

In their book Aromatherapy Anointing Oils, Spiritual Blessings, Ceremonies & Affirmations they also list Cypress and Ginger as the oils for Fall.

As I consider my choices  I know that I also want to make sure that I have oils in the blend that will help to keep nasty germs at bay.  I had a lot of fun playing around with different combinations of oils and my final choice for Fall 2016 is:

3 parts Black Spruce; 4 parts Ginger; 2 parts Cypress; 2 parts Marjoram and 1 part Patchouli.

This blend could be used any type of diffuser or mister but I will be adding mine to a Reed Diffuser.

To make a Reed Diffuser you will need a glass bottle, reeds, 15 – 25% essential oil blend and 75 – 85% diffuser base oil. Your percentage of essential oil to base might depend on the size of the area you are diffusing in.
